BEING A NEWSROOM ARTIST
My career started in 1992 when I joined
The
Manila Times under the group of Ricky Agcaoili as Editor-in-Chief,
Danilo Luis Mariano as Managing Editor, Lucino Rebamontan as News
Editor, Lizzy Lazzo as Citi Editor. They are all like parents
to me. We are like a one whole big family on that time. Until
the group of Malou Mangahas, as Editor-in-Chief, has arrived,
together with Glenda Gloria as News Editor and Chit Estella as
Managing Editor. I left Manila Times on August 1997.
After Manila Times, I joined Malaya,
as graphic artist, from August 1997 until September 1999. While
still there I contribute comic strips..
I left Malaya on September 1999
to join The Manila Times again as Graphic Artist until February
2000.
BEING A NEWSROOM NOVELIST
During my time in the newspaper industry,
i have contributed as many as eight novel, all tagalog love storis,
to Bandera Love Stories. I have novel serialized in Barako Newspaper
entitled "Sa Isang Sulok ng Buhay" which I will publish here too.
I wrote also tagalog romantic and erotic stories serialized in
various tabloids like Remate, Bandera and Barako. But of course
under another name like Dredd Serrano, Jean Fajardo, Jeng Santos
and Gerry Cruz.
Sometimes I write feature articles
when requested by some of my editor friends. But I prefer writing
in tagalog.
I write tagalog love stories since
1993 and erotic love stories since 1995 to Bandera, to Remate
from 1998 to 2000, to Barako from 1998 to 2000.
After that 7 long years in tagalog
novel industry, I have plan to shift to scriptwriting for penny
and fun.
BEING A WEB DESIGNER
I started learning html since 1995
when The Manila Times onlined its contents. My friend Edward Bacasmas
and I assisted Ben Moncerate III, I.T. section editor, to maintain
the site. Thanks to Ben for introducing the Internet to me.
Since then, I always practice web
development from my personal website sponsored by geocities. Thanks
